Through its network of branches, and also from the informational organs of the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and other International Financial Institutions(IFIs), OCAJI gathers timely and accurate information, actively utilizing the Internet and other channels, and efficiently distributes such information to its own members and many public organizations.
OCAJI's branches in 23 cities enthusiastically maintain good relations and exchange information with local authorities and organizations concerned to respond to inquiries from its members and others.
In order to cope with the diversification of overseas construction projects, OCAJI's subcommittees and study groups play a leading role in various research and study activities on the contract management, risk management, public private partnership and partnering for overseas construction;
matters, fields and markets required for overseas construction projects in China, India and other countries;
and construction projects related to Japan's official development assistance (ODA), in cooperation with outside professionals and organizations.
A database has been developed on the records of overseas contracts awarded to Japanese construction companies, OCAJI member information, information on overseas construction activities and construction materials and machinery that are owned by members and available overseas. The objectives are efficient information dissemination to members and those concerned and the use in various researches and studies.
