Civil Engineering

Nishimatsu applies its cutting-edge civil engineering technology all across the globe to provide the basic elements of social infrastructure, including subway tunnels, airports, expressways and dams. A variety of construction technologies, including the latest state-of-the-art tunnel boring systems, are drastically changing the way we use space, especially as it relates to the innovative creation of underground spaces.
Through the construction of roads, we help to move traffic along more smoothly, even in the most crowded parts of the world.


1. Kaohsiung Metropolitan Mass Rapid Transit System, Red Line, CR2 Construction Section, Taiwan
We constructed subway tunnels (inbound: 3.5km, outbound 3.4km) for the Red Line Route of the Kaohsiung Metropolitan MRT in Taiwan.

2. New Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong
Work on the 1,248-hectare platform for the New Hong Kong International Airport also included an MTR Station, a railway, landside roads, and utility facilities.

3. Terminal 8 Container Berth, Hong Kong
This project was construction of a container berth by reclamation of 107 hectares in Hong Kong.

1. Construction of Public Rental Housing Development at Ex-Chai Wan Estate
This 41-story residential building was constructed in the Island of Hong Kong, having 75,542m2 in total floor area and 1,600 residential units.

2. Asahi Kasei Electronics Materials (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., China
This 3-story factory with 10,154m2 in total floor area was constructed in Suzhou, China.

3. Superstructure Work on the UOB Plaza UP3000, Singapore
The UOB Plaza UP3000 is a 66-story structure having a total floor of 115,200m2. At 280m-high, the building was the tallest in Asia at the time of construction.
